Administration Time (Main Campus - Undergraduate Program) ACTIVE

Undergraduate Advisors at the main campus should adhere to the following in placing administration time on their calendars:
- Admin time should not exceed 6 hours per week; it is not appropriate to “block” additional time on your calendars for tasks that should be done during your admin time (e.g. “return call to Mary Business,” etc.)
- Admin time cannot be adjacent to the 8:30-9:00 am time or immediately preceding or following your lunch hour. For example, if you are at lunch from 12-1 and have admin time from 10:00-12:00, that creates a large block of time during which you are inaccessible to your students. Admin time should also not be immediately prior to the time that you leave for the day, for the same reason.
- If you are on morning walk-ins, please remember they begin at 8:30 am. On those days, you will not have the 8:30-9:00 am blocked as admin time.

You may increase your weekly “admin time” from 4 hours to 6. Please be judicious in your placement of the extra two hours (for example, not at the beginning of the day or your evening). You can put these hours on as you want, you don’t have to be consistent each week.
