Drop Notes

When you make a notation in SPACMNT about processing a drop, please make notes as to the reason, if known, as well as any discussion which may have occurred with the student. This is especially important for any master’s drop form which comes in with “other” as a reason for dropping.

When interactions with students occur SPACMNT notes detailing the interactions or updates made to a student account should be noted in SPACMNT. When student's submit a drop or withdrawal request please indicate a reason as to "why" the course was dropped or withdrawn in SPACMNT.

At a minimum, please copy either the entire drop request form (master’s) or the “reason” line. However, the more information we can provide the better. “Other” does not provide us information.
