Hold Information - SOAHOLD

SOAHOLD will display active and inactive holds on a student account. Holds on a student record will prevent students from completing certain actions depending on the hold.

At times an academic advisor may need to place a hold on a student record to prevent a student from registering before speaking with an academic advisor. To place the hold a student record:

  • Arrow down to a blank hold field and enter AH in the Hold Type field
  • Enter a reason in the reason field along with an extension to the office so the student will know who to contact
  • Enter 31-Dec-2099 in the To Date field to activate the hold
  • To inactivate a hold click on the calendar on the To Date field and enter the current date
