Applying/Removing an Advisor to Student Record

Adding an advisor to a record:

  1. Enter the term code for the term student is starting program
  2. Enter the the new advisors N#, ACAD for the advisor type and select the box under primary indicator to activate the check mark for the primary advisor.

To change an advisor listed on a student record:

  1. Enter the term code for which the advisor change is occurring
  2. Then select the maintenance icon to end it.
  3. Next return to the term box to enter the effective term in which the new advisor is assigned to the student.
  4. Enter the the new advisors N#, ACAD for the advisor type and select the box under primary indicator to activate the check mark for the primary advisor.

The advisor assignment will information will appear on the SFAREGS screen under the tab "Student Term", WebStar, and directs online drop forms.

When you remove an advisors N# from a student record it will not appear on the Advisor Student List Report until it is run again and including the term in which the N# was updated under.

To remove an advisor listed on a student record:

Enter the term for which the advisor should be inactived in the term field.

Select on the maintenance button.

Then select on End Advisor and save.
