Requesting a Special Rate Code ACTIVE
Effective Start Date: 04/01/2010 End Date:Current
As of 201040 Spring term forward any student that needs to have a “special” rate code created will not be done until after registration has completed. Example, if a student is Bahamas and needs to be charged for all ground classes per Steve H. that will not reflect until after registration has been complete. Academic advisors will keep a list in an excel document with the students name, ID, term, and what needs to be done. The document will be saved as the following: Academic Advisors name, Rate Codes and the term. To access a template of the spreadsheet click here After classes have started you will verify the original request to see if the student is still due to get a “special” rate code created. Sometimes you will find that the student decided to take all online, or all ground and you can apply the rate code that is on the shared drive and remove their name of the “special” rate code request. Once you verify your list after classes have started you will then email it to me and I will compile one master list and have it sent over to be created and applied to the students record. When working with your students please inform them that the discount will not reflect appropriately until after class has started. This will reduce the number of phone calls you will receive as well. Example, for Spring April I will request rate codes the week of April 19th. Undergrad the same would apply for you as well in regards to say summer. Once classes start I will then request the codes to be created.
Effective Start Date: 08/10/2009 End Date:Current
Special Rate Code Request should be sent to the Associate Director of Academic Advising. The following information should be present within the request. Example 1 AMEX student Mary Business (N00131197) is taking one ground based course and one online course for 200940. Approved per Steve Harvey, notes in SPACMNT. His account needs to be adjusted so that he pays the $430/per credit for both classes. Example 2 AMEX student Mary Business (N00131197) is taking one ground based course 5020, and one online course 5014, for 200940. Mixed classes because 5014 only offered online, notes in SPACMNT. His account needs to be adjusted so that he pays the $430/per credit for both classes. Example 3 Some of you have asked how to send the above request with the math part completed that I need. You can use the following as an example, Mary Business (N00131197) Amex cluster taking 1 ground 1 online, should be $430 per credit. Currently being charged $3648 – 2580 (what it should be) = 1068 / 6 credits = $178 off per credit. (current charged, what the person should be charged and then divide by the # of credits). At minimum the information from the first example should be included in a submitted request. ARCHIVE |
