Searching for Institution Codes

There are two screens in Banner that can be used to determine the institution code. SOISBGI and SOAPCOL. Please see the instructions below on how to populate the screens.

SOISBGI

Once on the screen you will enter the name of the institution under the name field with the following:

CAP first letter that follows the % sign. The % will be the break between each word in the name of the institution. For example if you were to search for NSU you could search with any one of the following search terms.

• %N%S%U%
• %Nova%Sou%Univ%
• %Nova%Southeastern%University%

To populate the screen select F8

Please keep in mind the following:

• The more letters in the search term the shorter the list of institutions.
• When the search has been executed the name of all colleges/universities or high schools will be displayed.
• If the screen displays more than one institution code for a school please refer back to the transcript for the location and compare that to the location listed next to the school location on the screen.

SOAPCOL

Enter the students NSU ID and then next block/Ctrl page down to populate the screen. The institution code will be displayed in the prior college box.
