Students Seeking Higher Level of Appeal

If after attempting to resolve a student issue after an appeal process, and the student inist upon taking their concerns to the next level, student's should be informed that:

“The next level of appeal (consideration, review, etc) is actually our Director of Academic Advising. Let me forward your name to her and I will ask her to review your concerns (or contact you).”

If they insist on getting the contact information for the Directore of Academic Advising, please provide the student with the name of the director and provide the student with the director's assistant's extension (x25017).

When the director obtains information regardding the student, the academic advisor will be consulted regarding the student's history. From there, we will decide how to proceed. The director may contact the student on a one on one call, in conjunction with the advisor or if necessary may escalate the student to the attention of the Assistanct Dean. Our objective will be to resolve the complaint without escalating it.
