If a student requests a copy of his/her grades or tuition information to submit to his/her employer, direct the student to WebSTAR where he/she can print out the information. If a student has a financial hold – NSU Bursar, NSU Collections, or Attorney Collections – which is preventing him/her from accessing the information in WebSTAR, direct the student to whichever department is managing their account (i.e., NSU Bursar, NSU Collections, or Attorney Collections). See SOAHOLD to determine which department is managing the student’s account and what phone number to direct him/her to. Each department will work with the student to have an unofficial copy of the student’s grades sent directly to the student’s employer. The student will not be able to receive a personal copy of his/her grades until his/her account balance has been paid off with NSU. Academic Advisors should not, under any circumstances, write a grade letter for a student themselves.
