- For new or transfer students an admissions advisor is required to complete a Tuition and Cost of Living Estimate Worksheet.
- An international student should not enroll for classes until an I-20 from NSU has been issue.
- A minimum of 6 credits must be completed each term. Of the 6 credits 3 credits must be completed ground based each term regardless of the NSU campus/student educational center.
- After an international student completes 3 consecutive terms they are authorized to take a term off (Annual Vacation) and will be required to fill out a Reduce Course Load form (RCL) at the Office of International Students.
- A free term is a term in which a student can choose not to take any courses, enroll just for one class, take all courses online, etc. But if the student decides to enroll for 2 classes (6 credits-full time) the Office of Student Employment will not authorize to work full time on campus employment.
- Students may not take a free term during their last term.
- In the event that the program does not offer the classes a student needs to maintain his/her non-immigrant status, the student is required to submit a Graduate Full Course of Study Exception completed and signed by the academic advisor to the OISS. For the form please go to Forms
- CPT (Curricular Practical Training) – If an internship is part of the curriculum the student qualifies for CPT. An application will need to be filled out by the program office and submitted to the OISS.
