An REP (or business-only SAR) for students who are requesting a reversal of fees and/or grade for non-attendance is no longer required. From now on, please follow the below protocol for reversing fees and/or grades:
1.Document non-attendance through the program office.
2.In SFAREGS, change the calendar date to the day prior to the start of the term. Enter code of DD in status field.
3.Make a SPACMNT note indicating verification of non-attendance, and include documentation (either online report or email from approved program manager) in the comments section of SPACMNT.
4.If needed, send an email request to Josephine Campbell requesting a grade change from F to ---. Include term, CRN, section number, and course prefix and number.
5.Forward a copy of the non-attendance documentation to the administrative assistant for archival. In the subject line of your email, please list “Retro Drop Non Attendance.” In the body of the email, include term, CRN, section number, and course prefix and number, and level (grad/undergrad).
This applies for students who only are enrolled in business courses. For example, if the student has math, English, history, and economics courses, they must submit an SAR for all courses to Barbara Berner as per usual protocol. We will not “split up” the decisions. However, if a student has all business courses, we can apply this process.
If a decision has already been made regarding a course the decision will not be overriden. Student's may not appeal a decision once it has been made.
If you are submitting an REP for a retroactive drop, please be aware of the following:
If the student wishes to drop all courses for a term due to non-attendance, and you have verified non-attendance with izone or program office, the retroactive drop will automatically be approved. The registrar’s office is automatically dropping any students who show zero days of attendance.
Please do not share this information with students. I do not want this to become common practice.
