Changing Undergraduate Level

Effective Start Date 2/18/2010 End Date Current

A student applies and is accepted for example in the UG Day program for the current term. However, the advisor is notified by the student prior to the first term registration that the student would like to be a U2 evening) or U3 (online/off campus) student instead. The advisor must update SFAREGS and add a rate code (if necessary) for the student.

Next the advisor must email undergraduate admissions, specifically Troy Raaidy, email: tr166@nsu.nova.edu asking to update the students Hobson's application to reflect the change in level. Provide the students name, ID#, term effective, and level the record should be changed to.

If the advisor fails to email undergraduate admission the students record will be updated again by Hobson's with the user ID of SSD_AXIOM (which is Hobson’s) changing the level back to U1. In addition the student’s rate code would be removed, move money to the wrong budget line, and possibly change the student’s charges, and affect financial aid disbursement.

The advisor only needs to inform undergraduate admissions when a change of level occurs in the students first term. After the first term Hobson's will not affect anything.
