Dropping Courses after Deadline - Undergraduate ACTIVE
Effective Start Date: End Date:
Farquhar has approved some exceptions to submitting a formal SAF. Similar to our procedure, if you do not process a student’s documented drop/withdrawal request by the deadline due to some unforeseen reason (illness, lost email), you may rectify the situation within 5 days of discovering it without submitting an SAF/REP. After the 5 day period, you will be required to submit official SAF/REP forms, as appropriate. Please note that there is no “5 day policy” for either Farquhar or Huizenga, as this terminology indicates a flexible “window” in which you can process student requests. This procedure is only for extreme circumstances. You should still attempt to drop the course within 24 hours of receiving the student’s request. As you know, we have a policy that all drop requests must be done via NSU email or STF. Please be sure to copy and paste these into banner with the date stamp. Please be sure to copy and paste these emails, including the DATE STAMP into SPACMNT. This way we will always be able to see the date of the student’s request. See example below.
