Student List

ACTIVE

Effective Start Date:10/28/2009 End Date:Current

The lists will include a comments field to let us know the students’ intentions regarding registration. So, we will need to do the following:

On an ongoing basis, advisors are expected to review their student list to determine who has not re-enrolled for the next term. This review should take place beginning approximately 3 weeks into the registration period, and continue until the start of the term. Our objective is to increase student retention through outreach to students. Further, if students decide not to re-enroll, we need to know that. Advisors are expected to outreach to non-registered students at least 3 times during the registration period. Advisors will then document those outreach attempts in SPACMNT (instead of the Excel sheet on the shared drive).

In order to have concise, consistent, retrievable notations, we are implementing a new process. Please make sure to follow this process exactly, using the criteria below. This will be the only way for us to have useful, manageable data.

When you outreach to students in an attempt to get them re-enrolled, use the comment type “BAC.” Do not use this comment type for ANY other types of interactions with students.

Instructions:

1.In comment type field type BAC.

2.In comments field copy and paste one of the notations below.

3.Do not modify or supplement comments in any way and do not add documentations (such as emails) to this comment.

4.All additional comments, notations, and documentation should be entered in an additional “100” comment type.

Please copy and paste the following comments and save them somewhere where you can readily access them:

  • Student intends to register for XXXXXX term.(Make sure to enter the numeric code for the term such as 201030)
  • Student does not intend to attend NSU. Please enter reasons in a 100 type comment)
  • No response received from student.(Make this notation after you have completed your three attempts)
